Every year the Westminster Police Officers' Association donates money and time to benefit numerous charities, groups and organizations in Westminster and throughout Orange County.

"Officers Give Hope is a multi-agency law enforcement effort dedicated to hosting marrow donor drives in the hopes of finding a match for those patients awaiting a life-saving transplant. Officers Give Hope has located donors for patients throughout the United States suffering from leukemia and other blood diseases. "Miracles for Kids is a non-profit organization based in Orange County, California. Their mission is to improve the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.This mission is carried out with the following programs:

The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide. Today, more than 30,000 children participate in more than 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide. - LLCD

At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. - Relay for Life
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. - SOSC
